November PAC News
A Message from PAC

Thank you to all of our volunteers for making the Elm Street PAC October events a huge success! Below we've re-capped some of the fun things we accomplished, detailed some exciting upcoming events planned and included a few ways you can help our Elm Community through a "Cards of Encouragement Blitz" and suppling our nurse's office with needed clothing items.

In addition to planning events that foster community, promote family time, learning, physical fitness and fun, the PAC budget funds many of the critical programs and supplies that make Elm Street special.

This November we will be running a new fundraiser called "Elm 180." Each school year our kids attend 180 days of school. Imagine what’s possible if 180 donors sponsored every day of school with a donation of $1, $2, $3...$180! We would instantly have funding for our field day event cost and t-shirts, "Dancing with the Elm Street Stars" family dance, playground equipment/toys, Cultural Arts programing and more!

Be on the lookout for 180 ways of giving for 180 days of learning!

Scholastic Book Fair

The Scholastic Book Fair generated nearly $13,000 in sales resulting in Elm Street receiving more than $5,500 in Scholastic dollars. A special thanks to Chair Rebecca Costello and Co-Chair Caitlyn Jones for their countless hours planning and managing the Book Fair as well as to the many volunteers who helped during preview days, organizing or managing the registers.

Fall Family Festival

The Fall Family Festival saw hundreds of students and families enjoy the creative Trunk or Treat displays, petting zoo, inflatables, raffles, face painting, bake sale and more! Thanks to Sam Flaherty, Colleen Campbell and Erin Collins for putting so much work into planning the day, to Kristen Nendza for organizing the food vendors, Heather Morin for bake sale and our awesome Trunk or Treat hosts- the Diamond, Fannon, Flowers, Keaveney, Kadehjian, O’Leary, Skowera and Weismann families! Thank you to the countless parents who signed up to volunteer their time during the festival, we could not do it without you!

We’d also like to thank the following businesses and families who sponsored our raffle prizes or donated a portion of proceeds back to Elm PAC:

Jones Bulldogs | Athletic Republic/Mini Athletes (The Sylvester Family) | The Schleicher, Dufault, O’Brien and Collins Families | A Little Something Sweet (Jen Terrazzino) | Ed Keefe, Realtor (and family) | Walpole Police Department | Walpole Fire Department | Ms. Buller | POOF! | Family Pizzeria | DifferRentals Party Rentals | Rico's Pizzeria

Fall Teacher Appreciation

Thank you to Erin Harrington and Tammy Rourke for organizing, and to our K and Fifth grade families for sponsoring the fall teacher appreciate event. The teachers and staff were so thankful for the lunch and treats!
